HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A 3-0 edge in blocks helped Brandon eke out a close first set. TRU started the game on an 11-4 run kickstarted by five kills from Flowerday. The hosts were able to respond however and ended the set on a 13-4 run of their own to take it 25-21.

  • Brandon responded to take both the third and fourth sets in commanding fashion with scores of 25-16 and 25-15 respectively.

NOTABLE
  • Flowerday ranks first in all of Canada West with 356 kills.
  • The 'Pack fall to 10-11 with the result while the Bobcats are now 14-7.

QUOTABLE – Head coach Pat Hennelly.
  • Tough first night on the road. We lost the serve and pass battle tonight and ended the first set with four-straight misses. We needed to be more consistent from the service line.
  • Brandon had some big kills off digs and that made it tough on our block and defence.
  • It was a great night from Flowerday

UP NEXT
  • TRU will aim for the weekend split tomorrow when these two teams do battle once again at 4:45 p.m. PT.
