WolfPack storm back to defeat Cascades

QUICK FIRE
  • A pair of rookies had the best games of their young WolfPack careers as the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's volleyball team came from behind to take down the UFV Cascades 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 27-29, 25-22, 15-13) in Abbotsford.
DIFFERENCE MAKERS
  • Sam Flowerday once again had a game-high 22 kills for the 'Pack. Rookie Aiden Goetz had by far the most kills in his young TRU career with 10 while also adding four total blocks. Despite trailing by four points early, TRU was able to work their way back into the game and thanks to a kill and an ace courtesy of Margerison they took the lead at 21-20. Flowerday put an exclamation point on the set to end with a service ace.
  • Fraser Valley jumped out to an early 5-2 lead in the in the fifth, before TRU found a way to respond. Margerison tied the game with yet another ace at 9-9 before the 'Pack put the match away courtesy of a massive solo block from Goetz.
