Heat complete sweep of WolfPack in Kelowna

  • The Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team couldn't find their rhythm Saturday night as they fell to the UBC Okanagan Heat by a tally of 64-29 in Kelowna.
 
DIFFERENCE MAKERS
  • Danijela Kovacevic was without a doubt the leader for the 'Pack. The graduating guard tallied 16 points on the night. Morgan Eichenberger, who leads all rookies in the nation in rebounding, added 12 more boards to her remarkable tally.
  • Lauren Foullong was dominant for the Heat with 27 points in the game.  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first half belonged to the Heat. UBCO jumped out to a commanding 35-8 advantage in the first half as they played stifling defence and relied on 18 points from Foullong.
  • TRU played better offensively in the second half but were unable to make any headway against the sizeable deficit they were facing as the Heat took the match comfortably.
 
UP NEXT
  • TRU will play their final games of 2024-25 next weekend when they travel to Victoria to face the UVic Vikes.
