The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack were swept on the final home date of their exhibition fall baseball season.
The WolfPack dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Norbrock Stadium on Sunday (Oct 6). They fell 5-0 and 10-4 to the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds Junior Varsity team.
This followed a split between the two clubs on Saturday where the Pack won game one before falling to UBC.
In Sunday's first game, Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference all-star
Tyler Moskalyk (Thunder Bay, ON) was the losing pitcher. He went five innings giving up seven hits, five runs (two earned) and striking out seven.
Catcher
Connor McKenzie (Kamloops, BC) was one for two. Second baseman
Liam Rihela (White Rock, BC) was one for three while right fielder
Taylor Van Ham (Medicine Hat, AB) was one for three.
In the second game, Tristen Seitz (Lumsden, SK) pitched only one inning and was tagged with the loss. He gave up seven hits and eight earned runs.
Offensively, rookie Alex McDougall (Regina, SK) was two for four with a double and a run batted in. The WolfPack have an exhibition record of 4-6-2.
