KAMLOOPS – The whole season comes down to this weekend for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack baseball team that will take on the best of the west at the Canadian College Baseball Conference championships in Lethbridge, May 15-18.

Finishing fourth during the regular season with a record of 17-14, the WolfPack are searching for their first CCBC title since 2009 and fourth in program history.
TRU will start their tournament with an important match against the Victoria Collegiate Golden Tide, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. PT. Victoria finished just one spot behind TRU in the standings with a record of 14-17 and the two teams split the four games they played against each other this season.
Keith Manby and
Jacob Fillion led the way on the mound for TRU this season. Manby, a second-year pitcher from White Rock, B.C., racked up team-highs of five wins and 43 strikeouts this season. Fillion added four wins and 36 strikeouts while Kamloops local
Manny Recchi recorded a team-high three saves.
At the plate TRU was powered by committee.
Jared Sucro led the way with a .386% batting average while
Carter Spencer (.313%),
Lucas Miracle (.306%) and
Riley Hay (.300%) all broke the .300% line.
Manny Birch and
Simon Crossfield both hit a pair of home runs while
Gabe Powell had a team-high 20 RBIs.
