Box Score The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack knew their weekend against the Saskatchewan Huskies was going to be a tough one in Canada West men's basketball. Friday night (Nov 29), proved to be the case.
TRU had a 10 point half time lead evaporate as they fell to the Huskies 89-69 at the Tournament Capital Centre. In the third quarter, Saskatchewan outgunned the WolfPack 24-14 in the third quarter and 59-29 in the second half as they notched sixth victory in seven starts. Thompson Rivers falls to 6-3 on the year.
Saskatchewan was led by Alexander Dewar. The second year guard from Saskatoon, SK had 27 points including 15 in the third quarter. Fisayo Moibi (2
nd year, guard, Edmonton, AB) –the MacEwan transfer—had 10 points.
Anton Bilous (5
th year, guard, Cerkassy, Ukraine) had 20 points for the Pack. Micheal Rouault (5
th year, guard, Vernon, BC) added 17 points.
SYNOPSIS
The WolfPack got off to a quick start and led by nine points midway through the first quarter. Led by Bilous with 14 points, the Pack led 25-13 at the end of that period. Maxwell Amoafo ((3
rd year, forward, Accra, Ghana) had four for Saskatchewan.
The Huskies started to capitalize under the basket and scored 10 of their second half points in the paint but trailed he Pack by ten 40-30 at recess. Bilous was leading Thompson Rivers at the break with 18 points. Rouault had eight points in the second quarter to have 12 at the half. For Saskatchewan, Dewar had four points in the period to lead his team with six at the half. Kessler Bishop (2
nd year, forward, Okotoks, AB) had five points for Sask in the opening half.
The Huskies roared out of the dressing room and quickly erased their ten point deficit. With four minutes left in the quarter, JT Robinson (5
th year, guard, Vallejo, California) scored a three point basket to give Saskatchewan their first lead of the game at 51-49. Capitalizing on some TRU turnovers and key drives by Dewar, the Huskies took a 10 point advantage into the fourth quarter leading 64-54. Dewar had 15 points in that third quarter for the Huskies while Moibi added eight. Thompson Rivers turned over the ball six times in the third quarter and 17 in the game.
Saskatchewan continued their torrid pace and went on a 17 point run to lead 70-54 with eight minutes left in the contest and rolled to the victory:

rd year, forward, Phoenix, AZ) was named "The Den Leader of the Pack" Player of the Game with two points and a rebound.
