The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's basketball team gave it a valiant effort but fell short to the unbeaten University of Calgary Dinos  71-62 in Canada West action on Friday night (Feb 1).
The Dinos are now 19-0.
The WolfPack outscored the Dinos 21-18 in the final period and were led by Anton BIlous with 17 points. He was one of four players for TRU in double figures.  The others were Joe Davis (12 points), Derek Rhodes (11 points) and Tyus DeVries (10 points).
Brett Layton led Calgary with a double double: 23 points and 11 rebounds

 SYNOPSIS
The WolfPack reduced their turnovers from 10 in the first half to nine in the second.     Thompson Rivers had 24 points in the paint compared to 30 for the Dinos but the TRU bench outscored the Dinos 19-11 in the contest.
