KAMLOOPS – They held the lead early and got major contributions throughout their lineup but the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team wasn't able to hold off the Lethbridge Pronghorns in an 81-69 loss on the road.
TRU jumped out to an early 18-11 lead after the first quarter and held the lead with just four minutes left in the game but couldn't close the deal. Lethbridge ended the game on 14-2 run over the final 3:28 to snag the victory from the 'Pack.
Rookie
Cyrus Harrison had by far the biggest game of his young university career, scoring 20 points on 7-13 shooting from the floor.
Denys Bachurin also put together the most complete game of his TRU career with 17 points and 13 rebounds while both
Daniel Bost and
Asher Mayan added 12 points.
Kymani pollard led the Pronghorns with 17 points while Jeff Rudehutskors, Shae Gibb, Deng Dak and Angelo Mbituyimana all added 12.
