WolfPack wrap up regular season at home

KAMLOOPS – The Thompson Rivers University baseball team will be looking to end their 2022 CCBC slate on a high note this weekend as they are set to host a pair of double-headers inside NorBrock Stadium.

WOLFPACK SCHEDULE // LIVESTREAM

Sitting with a mark of 8-16, the 'Pack will be looking to leap up the standings in their final four games of the season when they take on the Okanagan College Coyotes and Fraser Valley Cascades.

First up for the 'Pack are the Coyotes, who currently occupy first place in the standings with a record of 23-5 with the games going at 3 and 6 p.m. on Friday May 13. TRU took one of four off the Coyotes last weekend with Donovon Collier pitching six strong innings while Zac Robinson picked up the win and Hudson Scheres recorded the save in a 5-4 victory. Carter Spencer led the way offensively with three hits and an RBI in the victory.

On Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. the 'Pack will host the 11-17 Fraser Valley Cascades. TRU hasn't faced Fraser Valley since early April but did start their season with three wins out of four games against the Cascades.

LAST ACTION

GAME 1: EDMONTON 3, WOLFPACK 2

Josh Wright and Matt Olsen recorded a pair of hits apiece and Zac Robinson pitched eight strong innings but the WolfPack fell just short of the win in their first game out in Edmonton.

GAME 2: WOLFPACK 2, EDMONTON 1

An absolute marathon saw the WolfPack pick up a 14-inning win against the Hawks. Kolby Lukinchuk allowed just one run through 10 innings of action and Carter White pitched two innings to pick up the win. A pinch hit triple courtesy of Matt Coxon saw Matt Richards cross the plate for the winning run.

GAME 3: EDMONTON 7, WOLFPACK 6

TRU held the lead late but two runs Edmonton runs in the ninth inning saw them take the win. Carter Spencer, Coxon, Tate Larson and Lucas Miracle all drove in runs  but the 'Pack couldn't hold off the late Edmonton push.

GAME 4: EDMONTON 12, WOLFPACK 8

The bats stayed hot, but the 'Pack were unable to pick up the win in their final game of the series. Larson went 3-4 and Coxon went 4-5 with 3 RBI's but a fourth inning during with the allowed seven runs sunk the WolfPack in the loss.
