KAMLOOPS – A home preseason tournament featuring some of the top teams in the nation is on tap this weekend for the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's volleyball team.
 
With the UBC Thunderbirds (22-2 CW regular season record), Alberta Pandas (18-6), Manitoba Bisons (20-4), Fraser Valley Cascades (20-4), Trinity Western Spartans (19-5), UBCO Heat (10-14) and MRU Cougars (8-16) all coming to the TCC, the tournament will feature the reigning U SPORTS Champion as well as last year's silver and bronze medallists – UBC, Alberta and Manitoba.
 
TRU, who went 10-14 last year and qualified for the postseason, graduated just one player from last year's team and will be looking to once again go to battle week in and week out in the ultra-competitive Canada West conference.
 
Alberta captured last year's WolfPack Invitational title while TRU earned a fourth-place finish.
 
Entry is free to the tournament all weekend long.
