Women's Basketball fall to Bishops in exhbiition

Box Score The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack have dropped the opening game of an exhibition women's basketball tournament in Ottawa..

The Pack were on the short end of a 67-59 decision to the Bishop Gaiters of Sherbrooke, Quebec. 

Bishops was up 33-15 at the half.

The WolfPack did outscore the Gaiters 23-17 in the third quarter and 21-17 in the fourth quarter.

Assistant coach Cassie Rerick stated, " We lost the first two quarters but caught back hard and won the last two. Sadly we fell short by eight."
Jordon Haggerty led the WolfPack in scoring wit h15 points.  The Pack's two fifth year guards were next.  Emma Piggin (Kamloops, BC) had 14 points while Leilani Carney (Vancouver, BC) added 13.  Piggin added three steals while Carney had two.

The WolfPack continue the tournament Saturday (Oct 5) with a game against UQAM. They finish up on Sunday (Oct 6) against the host Carleton Ravens.
