After being on the road the past two weeks, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women's basketball team are back home.
The Pack entertain the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves. The two teams will meet in Canada West regular season play Friday November 22
nd and Saturday November 23
rd at the Tournament Capital Centre. Tip off is 7 PM PDT (Friday) and 5 PM PDT (Saturday).
The WolfPack are coming off a split at MacEwan last weekend while the Timberwolves split with the UBC Thunderbirds in Prince George.
Thompson Rivers has a record of 4-2, good enough for a tie for fourth place. UNBC is 2-4 which is 12
th in Canada West.
The only player involved in action on either team this weekend that is among the statistical leaders in Canada West is UNBC's Emma van Bruinessen (4
th year, forward, Leduc, AB) . She is fourth in the league in field goal per cent (54.8).
The teams played last season in Prince George where the Timberwolves won both games. On January 4
th, UNBC won 78-55 and came back to take the Saturday January 5
th contest 79-49.
The last time the teams played at the TCC was 2017-18. They split. UNBC won the first night (Dec 1, 2018) 86-61. Madison Landry (4
th year, forward, Prince George, BC) had 14 points while Maria Mongomo (5
th year, forward, Las Palmas, Spain) added 13 points. Lelani Carney (5
th year, guard, Burnaby, BC) had 12 points. The WolfPack won the next night (Dec 2) 91-80. Landry had 23 points with Mogomo adding 10. Carney had 21 points for TRU who added 17 from

The games this weekend are "TRUSU Food Bank Weekend". Those coming to the games are being asked to donate a non-perishable food item. If they do that, they will get in for free. There will be donation bids at the gate.
The following weekend (Nov 28-29), the WolfPack close out the pre-Christmas portion of their Canada West season meeting the defending league champions and current number one nationally (U SPORTS) ranked Saskatchewan Huskies at the Tournament Capital Centre.
