Lucas Lott - WolfPack Baseball Communications
The Thompson Rivers University baseball team was back in action today (April 13
th), as they took on Edmonton Collegiate team for the first time ever. In today's doubleheader, the WolfPack came out hitting, combining for twenty-six hits and outscoring the newly added Edmonton Collegiate team 20-3. The 'Pack took both games, winning 11-1 and 9-2.
Tyler Hodder (Fort McMurray, AB) got his fourth start of the year for the WolfPack and pitched his league leading fourth complete game in the 11-1 win. The 21-year-old is on pace for yet another all-star nomination as he pitched seven innings, giving up one run on four hits and striking out four.
The WolfPack bounced back offensively today, after failing to score a run in the 10-0 loss to the Okanagan College Coyotes, the 'Pack managed to score eleven runs on fifteen hits. Leading the 'Pack was offensive star
Liam Rihela (White Rock, BC). Rihela hit his third home run of the year, while going three for five including a double and an RBI.
Liam Shibata (Abbotsford, BC) and
Isiah McDonald (Grand Forks, BC) also stood out for the WolfPack. Shibata went two for four with three runs scored, while McDonald went two for five with three RBIs.
