2019-20 MSOC European contingent
The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's soccer team continued their unbeaten ways as they played their second match of their 2019 California preseason tour.

The WolfPack and the Fresno Pacific Firebirds played to a scoreless tie on Thursday night (Aug 22). The teams played three 30 minute periods as it was a 'scrimmage' for the NCAA Division II squad.
The result left the WolfPack with a record of 3 wins and a tie in their exhibition campaign.

"Our group played very solid against a very strong Fresno Pacific team," said WolfPack head coach John Antulov. "There were times, especially in the first 30 minutes that they definitely put us under a lot of pressure but we were able to deal with it defensively. Overall our shape was really good.  Just happy with the performance of the players.  We were able to rotate a lot of players and get them playing time. Really happy with the young players and the young recruits we have brought in.  I thought they handled themselves very well against a top-notch team.  It was good for them to experience a match against some top talent.  Super grateful that Fresno Pacific was able to give us this game."

The Pack close out their 2019 preseason with one more match in the 'Golden State'. They will play the College of the Sequoias Giants (CCCA)   on Saturday (Aug 24).  The WolfPack will then return home to prepare for their 2019 Canada West season and home opener. They face the number one rated UBC Thunderbirds on Saturday, August 31st on the Warner Rentals field at Hillside Stadium.  The T-Birds were ranked first in the Canada West coaches preseason poll which was released earlier this week. Thompson Rivers was rated fourth in that same rankings.

On Sunday, September 1st, the UVIC Vikes will pay a visit to Kamloops.  Both matches will have 1 pm star times. They will be webcast on a pay-per-view basis on Canada West TV.
