The exhibition campaign officially begins for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women's basketball team.
The Pack will play two controlled scrimmages in the next three days leading up to their first official exhibition tilt: Sunday, September 29 th in Vancouver against the UBC Thunderbirds.
It's the first chance for new TRU head coach
Goran Nogic to see his squad: which includes seven returnees from last season.
The Pack got a major shot in the arm when former junior national team member and Canada West all-star Emma Piggin (Kamloops, BC) decided to return for her final year of eligibility.
Rookies to the TRU program this year are: Sydney Schmidt (5'10", forward, Kamloops, BC-Sa-Hali Secondary/Thompson Threat), Jordan Robb (5'10", forward/shooting guard, Kelowna, BC-Okanagan Mission Secondary), Amira Jensen (5'6" shooting guard, Abbotsford, BC-Robert Bateman Secondary), Kelsey Cruz (5'8", guard/forward, Calgary, AB, St.Francis High/Vision Basketball Academy), and Jordin Wilkinson (5'9", shooting guard/small forward, North Battleford, SK-North Battleford Central High School/Quest University).
