WBB loses first exhibition at UBC

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women's basketball team played their first official exhibition game this weekend.

On Sunday, (Sept 29), the Pack were in Vancouver where they fell 81-52 to the UBC Thunderbirds.

The Pack were down 26-17 after the first quarter and trailed 40-33 at the half.

Emma Piggin (5th year, guard, Kamloops, BC) led the way with 16 points. Leilani Carney (5th year, guard, Burnaby, BC) added 12 with newcomer Jordan Robb (Forward, Kelowna, BC) adding 12 and Jordon Haggerty (3rd year, guard, Saskatoon, SK) chipping in with six points.

Said head coach Goran Nogic afterwards, " Great first part of the game for us.  UBC dominated in the third and fourth period completely with their inside and rebounding games."

The WolfPack are off to Ottawa Ontario this week to play in a tournament hosted by the Carleton Ravens.  The tournament begins Friday (Oct 4).
