KAMLOOPS – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team is back on the road this coming weekend, as they prepare to take on the Fraser Valley Cascades.
 
Playing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, the games will feature a pair of teams that are on opposite ends of the Canada West division standings. The Cascades currently sit in the first place with a record of 3-1, while the WolfPack are in seventh at 0-4.
 
Playing in Prince George last weekend, the WolfPack fell twice to the UNBC Timberwolves by scores of 68-51 and 88-46.
 
The Cascades meanwhile, split a pair of close games in Vancouver against the UBC Thunderbirds. UFV recorded their first loss of the season in a 60-59 loss on Friday before rebounding with 71-64 double-overtime win on Saturday.
 
Fraser Valley took both regular season games that these teams played in 2019-20, picking up wins of 75-50 and 91-76 over the WolfPack in Kamloops.

1: The WolfPack are 2-8 dating back to 2009-10 when playing the Cascades in Abbotsford.

2: For the eight members of the 'Pack originally from the Lower Mainland, the games this weekend will be a homecoming of sorts. Both Amira Jensen and Kyla Smith are from Abbotsford.
 
3: The last time these teams met was in the 2019-20 Canada West playoffs. Making their first playoff appearance in four seasons, the 'Pack were bounced out of the postseason 76-54.
