Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's soccer team will look to make some history this weekend when they host the program's first Canada West playoff game inside Hillside Stadium this Friday night at 7 p.m.
Finishing the season in a program-best second place in the Pacific Division, the WolfPack (7-3-5) will host the No. three seed from the Prairie Division in the Calgary Dinos (6-5-3)
The game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. with the WolfPack looking to defend home turf once again. Hosting the U SPORTS Men's Soccer Championship presented by RBC from November 10-13, the 'Pack have turned Hillside Stadium into a fortress this season, finishing the year with a record of 6-1-1 at home.
The lone blemish on that sparkling home record did come courtesy of the Dinos however, with Calgary picking up a 1-0 win over the 'Pack back on September 23.
By The Numbers
72: No one in Canada West history has played more regular season games than WolfPack captain
Jan Pirretas Glasmacher. The product of Barcelona tied the Canada West record with 72 regular season games played this past weekend.
16: Recording seven shutouts this season WolfPack goalkeeper
Jackson Gardner now has 16 in his career, good enough for 10th all-time in Canada West history.
4: William Omoreniye leads the way offensively for Calgary, tucking away four of the team's 33 goals this season.
