Weekend Story
 
KAMLOOPS – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team will look to get into the win column for the first time this season when they host the MacEwan Griffins inside the TCC.
 
With games being played at 5:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, TRU (0-6) and MacEwan (1-7) will be hoping for a win to jumpstart their seasons.
 
In their last action the WolfPack fell by scores of 76-39 and 79-58 on the road against the Lethbridge Pronghorns. Despite the difficult weekend the 'Pack will be encouraged by a strong second half display Saturday night that saw them outscore Lethbridge over the final 20 minutes of play.
 
MacEwan travels to Kamloops after being swept by the Winnipeg Wesmen last weekend. Winnipeg took the games by scores of 80-70 and 74-59.
 
These two teams met in the preseason and it was the Griffins that walked away with the 86-61 victory.
