WolfPack start conference play at home this weekend

KAMLOOPS – For the first time since the 2019 season, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack baseball team has a full slate of Spring CCBC games ahead of them.

CCBC SEASON PREVIEW

Starting their season with a home-and-home series against the Fraser Valley Cascades, the WolfPack will get things underway at home on Saturday, April 2 with a double-header slated to begin at 1 p.m. TRU will then make the trip down to Abbotsford to face the Cascades on Sunday.

Due to renovations at NorBrock Stadium, the WolfPack will start their season playing at the Canada Games Field on McArthur Island.

A young squad, the WolfPack finished third in their four-team pool at the CCBC Fall Championship after going 1-2 in round robin play. While they didn't advance to the semifinals, the 'Pack did end their tournament off with a 10-1 win over Edmonton Collegiate in the consolation round.

TRU has a 14-10 win over the Calgary Dinos to their credit in the preseason for Spring.  The 'Pack captured the CCBC regular season title in 2019 with a record of 21-7, but now with few faces from that squad left on the roster they will be looking to retool on the fly in pursuit of the fourth championship in program history.
