Weekend Story
KAMLOOPS – Looking for a boost from the friendly confines of the Tournament Capital Centre, the Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team will host the UVic Vikes this weekend.
With tip-off slated for 5:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, TRU (1-13) will take on a UVic (5-9) squad that sits in a three-way tie for 11th in the conference.
Facing off against the nationally ranked UFV Cascades last weekend, TRU fell in a pair of games in Abbotsford.
The Vikes travel to Kamloops trying to solidify their spot in the Canada West playoffs. Tied with UNBC and Lethbridge at 5-9 one of those three teams will miss out on the postseason.
UVic took all three meetings between the two teams last season.
