KAMLOOPS – After an outstanding 2023 season that saw him continue to grow the game of soccer at the local, provincial and national levels, Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's soccer head coach
John Antulov has been honoured by BC Soccer.
Named the 2023 BC Soccer Coach of the Year, Antulov has been recognized after many, many years of dedication to coaching.
"It's humbling to be recognized with this award, it doesn't happen often - especially for coaches in the Interior - so to be recognized by BC Soccer for this is a huge accomplishment," said Antulov.
Antulov reached the pinnacle of Canadian university sport in 2022, leading the TRU men's soccer squad to a U SPORTS Championship on home turf inside Hillside Stadium. His WolfPack followed that up by reaching the Canada West Quarter-final stage this year. Finishing the season on a 7-2-1 run, the qualified for the postseason for the sixth-consecutive year.
At the helm for TRU for the entirety of the program's time in the Canada West conference, Antulov has impacted the lives of countless student-athletes while helping the program achieve 17 conference all-stars as well as over 60 U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians.
Alongside his work with TRU, Antulov is also heavily involved with the Kamloops Vancouver Whitecaps Academy as well as the head coach of semi-professional team Rivers FC.
