Weekend Story
The final game of the first semester is on the horizon for a Thompson Rivers WolfPack women's basketball team that will host the UNBC Timberwolves inside the TCC.
Taking on the Timberwolves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday – the weekend will feature a rare single game for a WolfPack (team that has had a strong start to their season.
TRU (4-7) picked up a win on the road last weekend as they split a pair of games with the Fraser Valley Cascades. After falling in a narrow defeat Friday, the WolfPack bounced back with a 60-50 win on Saturday. The victory was TRU's first over the Cascades in Canada West play since 2015.
UNBC (1-10) are coming into the weekend after two close losses to the UVic Vikes. The Timberwolves hung tough with the Vikes on both nights in defeats of 75-63 and 67-62.
The WolfPack's lone conference win of the year last season came against these Timberwolves when they picked up a 73-61 victory inside the TCC.
3 Things
1: Fryer's Express will be serving up hot food inside the TCC all year long.
2: Bring a non-perishable food item to donate on Friday for FREE entry. Donations will support the Kamloops Food Bank.
3: Dating back to 2012, the WolfPack and Timberwolves have evenly split the 30 games that they two have played against one another.
By The Numbers

15.7: UNBC's Viktoriia Filatova is leading the Timberwolves and sixth in the conference with 15.7 points-per-game.
35.2 & 34.9: Eichenberger and
Kylee Koppes, both Kamloops locals, are first and second in the conference in minutes played-per-game.
