Season Story

KAMLOOPS – There will be plenty on the line when the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's soccer team takes to Hillside Stadium one final time in 2026 this weekend.

Facing the UBCO Heat (0-13) on Friday night and the TWU Spartans (5-6-3) on Saturday in games that both get underway at 7:30 p.m., the 'Pack will be looking to punch their ticket to the Canada West postseason for the first time since 2023.

Sitting at a record of 6-6-1, the WolfPack occupy the fourth and final playoff spot in an incredibly tight Pacific Division. Depending on results around the league this weekend the 'Pack could finish anywhere from third to fifth in the standings with their game on Saturday coming against a Spartans team that is trying to chase them down for that all-important playoff spot.

First up for the WolfPack is a UBCO squad that has struggled this season but are looking to end the year with a bang. While they are winless on the year two of their last three losses have been by just one goal. The two teams met earlier this season with the WolfPack picking up a 2-0 victory in Kelowna thanks to goals from Rory Clements and Kaelin Nguyen.
The battle for the playoffs could very well come down to Saturday night when the WolfPack take on the Spartans. The two teams met just last weekend with a Noel Poole penalty shot in time added on securing a 1-1 tie for TRU.

After falling to UBC on Friday night last weekend, the WolfPack rebounded to pick up what could be a very important point on Saturday against Trinity Western.
UBCO comes into the weekend after a pair of losses as they fell 1-0 to TWU and 2-0 to UVic in their last action.
TWU comes into the weekend after a win over UBCO and tie with the WolfPack last week.

3: Food from Fryer's Express will be available at the games with drinks from SipSoda
