Experienced Stephens rounds out men’s basketball 2025-26 recruiting class

KAMLOOPS – Head coach Chad Jacobson and the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team are pleased to announce their eighth and final signing for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign with the news that Jayden Stephens has committed to the 'Pack.

"We are thrilled to have Jayden Stephens join the WolfPack men's basketball program for the 2025-26 season," said Jacobson. "Jayden is an experienced and proven player at the university level who brings a dynamic combination of skill, length, and athleticism to our team. He has the ability to score the basketball in a variety of ways from all three levels on the floor. Jayden brings a lot of versatility to our team with the ability to play and defend multiple positions on the floor. He's an extremely competitive individual who will bring a level of passion and work ethic every time he steps on the floor."

A 6-7 guard originally from Montreal, QC but with plenty of playing experience south of the border, Stephens joins the 'Pack after a strong campaign with National Association Intercollegiate Athletics school Rust College of Mississippi.

"I chose the WolfPack is because I see this team as the best place to develop my skills, push myself, and take my game to the next level," said Stephens.

Looking forward to bringing excitement and energy with him to the TCC this season, Stephens first moved to America nine years ago.

Excelling with Rust College last year, he started 24 of 25 games for the Bearcats while averaging 11.2 points-per-game and 8 rebounds-per-game.

"Jayden is a very dedicated student-athlete to both his academic and athletic goals," said Jacobson. "He will bring a positive energy to our team both on the floor and in the locker room while representing our program in the classroom and in the community the right way. We look forward to having him wear the black and orange next season."

Stephens, who is entering his third year of eligibility, plans on studying arts at TRU.
