All-League Honourable Mention Green joins ‘Pack from Mendocino

KAMLOOPS – Another student-athlete with experience playing at the American collegiate level will join the 'Pack for the upcoming season as the Thompson Rivers WolfPack men's basketball team and head coach Chad Jacobson are pleased to announce that Jayden Green has committed to the 'Pack.

"We are very excited to announce that Jayden Green will be joining the WolfPack men's basketball program for the upcoming 2025-2026 season," said Jacobson. "Jayden is a two-way player who can significantly impact on the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he has the ability to score the basketball at all three levels. He handles the ball very well and has excellent court vision and a willingness to create scoring opportunities for his teammates. Defensively, Jayden brings a combination of length and athleticism that allows him to defend multiple positions on the perimeter. He brings a high level of intensity and pride on the defensive end of the floor and wants the challenge of defending the oppositions best offensive player."

A 6-2 guard from Fresno, CA, Green has played for both Santa Rosa Junior College and Mendocino College at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) level.

"I chose to join the WolfPack because I want to further my education to the highest extent as well as showcase my talents and contribute to TRU Men's basketball team," said Green.

With the ability to score as well as defend, Green plans on bringing high-level work ethic, consistency, and energy to Kamloops.

Starting all 28 games for Mendocino last season, Green earned an Honourable Mention All-League nomination in the Bay Valley Conference after an outstanding sophomore campaign. Helping Mendocino to a fourth-place conference finish and a spot in the NorCal Regionals, he averaged 10.1 points-per-game, 6 rebounds-per-game, 3.0 assists-per-game and shot 42.4 per-cent from beyond the arc.

I believe that being at Mendocino gave me the opportunity to really find myself and made me want to be a better version of myself in all aspects," said Green.

A multi-sport standout athlete in high school, Green plans on studying arts at TRU.

"Not only will Jayden make an immediate impact for us on the court, but he will be a great fit within our team's culture," said Jacobson. "He is a hardworking individual who will represent our program the right way on the court, in the classroom, and in the community."
